St. Vincent Cemetery has been photographed, with resulting images and associated GPS locations for those photos, uploaded to BillionGraves' database record established for the St. Vincent Cemetery.

To find out more, see the cemetery records at

FYI - So far, there are 21 listed cemeteries for Kittson County on BillionGraves.  I have a hunch that might not be all of them!  And of the 21 listed, only St. Vincent Cemetery has been photographed and documented (GPS locations associated for each grave, plus each record transcribed).  Thus, this is a...

I did two searches for family members on Billion Graves and came up with no results.  By contrast, a search using the same parameters on Find A Grave returned the information I was looking for.  BG also redirects to pay sites which consumes valuable search time.  For now, I will be pulling the oars for Find A Grave.

I understand your frustration, Skip.  I am hoping there are more like myself that can contribute to BillionGraves to provide the missing graves/cemeteries.   I've noticed that Find-a-Grave, since being taken over by Ancestry, is now adding GPS coordinates as an option to provide for graves, also.  However, to my knowledge they haven't automated it yet like BG has.  I *love* how using BG's app on my phone allows me to, in real-time, on the ground, while in the cemetery, take a photo, upload it to BG's website, automatically with GPS.  Fast, easy, correct, and useful.

Skip I also like using Find A Grave because you can add the grave without having to physically be there. On BG you have to go and photograph the headstone in order to add it. On FAG you can enter the info and ask others to go photograph it. I have just "adopted" a cemetery near me that has entries on FAG but in order to enter them in BG I have to go there so the GPS registers them and until recently I didn't have a phone that could do it and there was no way to enter just photos. I hope you are right, Trish that the GPS is an option and maybe more would get done.

I recently found this link at the Minnesota Genealogical Society web site.  It lists all known public and private cemeteries and burials in Kittson County.  The staff at KCHS did a superb job of compiling the information.  I was not aware of the WPA book referred to in the document.

I think that's the information that Marcy Johnson put together...
