I love this. My grandpa owned Farmers Oil Philips 66. The grocery store next to the credit union is still up. Just north of where this photo ends is my grandparents Gene and Ruby (Lundell) Maloney's home. My sister owns it now. This picture is like a memory frozen in time for me. :) Thank you.

Isn't it funny how railroad tracks and a grain elevator can bring back good memories!  So your sister must have graduated with one of Ronnie and Mabel Krogstad's kids.  Ronald Krogstad was my great uncle.  I remember hearing the name Maloney at their house, possibly neighbors?

Thanks for the comment!

My grandpa owned the gas station which was around since the early 50s. It's was at the south end of town on highway 75. Their home was on the north end. It was the last house. My grandma was a Lundell. My mom Maureen Maloney graduated in 67. She had 3 brothers. My sister moved up from Arizona to care for grandpa Gene before he passed. She stayed and bought the house. She is engaged to a Langen and they will make their home in Kennedy. My grandpa used to have a orange gas truck that would go to the farms and deliver fuel.

I remember Jimmie Petersburg used to work there in the 70's and my grandma always got gas there.  My grandmother, Helen Krogstad- Johnson, was good friends with Lillian Langen.  Your mom's name is so familiar, I think she was a friend of Susie Krogstad.

Lillian is the great grandmother of Casey who is my sisters fiancé. ANd my mom does know Susie. She seems to think she graduated a few years after. Maybe she knew my Uncle Greg Maloney. He worked at the station too. My uncle Dan worked the other family station in Hallock. He married Cynthia Dahl.
