Georgine, I remember this house and I went there today to check it out. It was torn down years ago and a house trailer now sits where the house was. The driveway and the culvert still look the same as does the little white barn in the back yard. The present owner is Frankie Protromet and he is a old batchelor who lives alone.
I gave him a copy of your photo and plan to return and get you some present day photos. He was very happy to get the photo because he lost the photo he took of the house when his camera was stolen years ago.

where was this house? I found it in my mom's photos labeled that my mom grew up here. I think she took this photo on her last trip back in about 1983 or so. I just love hearing from someone who knows the history and now that she is gone I can no longer ask her the questions I never knew I wanted to know while she was alive. georgine.

I would be happy to help you but I need your mothers full name before and after she was married. I will get you a copy of the town map and mark on it where the house stands along with an up to date photo(s). The present owner thought the house had been occupied by the Peterson Family that raised three or four children. At least two are still alive along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and most recently gggrandchildren. I will make some more enquiries and get back to you. May I suggest you open a "Group" in your mothers name and then I can post information to that family group for you. More to follow.

I will try to figure out how to do that. Should the Cleem pictures also be in a separate group? georgine

Good question. No easy answer. When you open a family group I think you should post family pictures in the group so that a person that is interested in your family will find it all in one spot. If you have photos and would like to learn the identity of the people shown, then I would post it in the photos section. Keep in mind that when you post a photo in the photo section the program keeps a record of each time the photo is viewed and shows a number of the visits. Photos in family groups do not show the number of visits. I suggest in most cases that people open a group in the name of each pair of grandparents. You can then record events from their lives and their siblings and children. There are no hard and fast rules but keep in mind that the idea is to leave a record of your families so those that follow will know something about them.
