I want to apologize to those of you who are upset about the Kittson County Historical Society being affiliated with a certain member on this page. I was completely unaware that this person was even a member of this site. This site is for genealogy & historical purposes only and anyone can join. We, at the Kittson County Historical Society, do not know the backgrounds of every person or even know who many of the members are. This certain member has now been suspended from this site. …

The Lincoln School was built in 1905. The brick school was built in 1920 a block west of where the Lincoln School was located.

I hope this page will result in a great number of historical photos and stories being added to the growing history of Kittson County.
Hi Cindy, Thank you for taking care of that potential problem. Nobody needs that. I have found my Grandpa Frank Crawford's family. He was born in the Gardenton,, Manitoba area north of Kittson County. He lived with his mother's family and took their name until he moved to the states. At that time he took the Crawford name. There is some possibility that he may have been in the Lancaster or Kittson County areas after he moved to Minnesota. Very soon, I am going to post some pictures of him and see if anybody just might remember seeing him. Thank you again. Sharon Brobst
