Hi Georgine, welcome and thanks for joining. I phoned Kathy Pederson at the museum a few moments ago and she is going to do a search and see if she can find any of your family members that you mentioned. I will pass it on to you as soon as I receive anything thing she finds. This web site was made for people like you so jump right in and enjoy it. If you have any questions or suggestions do not hesitate to contact me. Glenn

Georgine,

That name sounds familiar, was she the second wife of Conrad Homstad?  Any Homstad is a relative to me somewhere down the line, so any photos, or info that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Georgine,

I just wanted to let you know that I searched this morning for a brother to Adolph Cleem. I looked for a Cleem that was born either side of 1856 in the hope I might find him in Kittson. We now have a database of over seventy-five thousand people connected with Kittson County but I had no luck. Maybe the brother came to the County, married, then died before he ever showed up on a census? Would it be worthwhile to check all the Cleems and look for a female with that name that is not, repeat NOT connected with any of the other local Cleems. Could she lead us to the elusive brother?

I also went on Ancestry.com and tried to locate Adolph in Germany in the hope I could find him on a census with the rest of the family.  That way we might learn his name. Got nothing.

I tried - sorry, the brick wall is still standing.  I will keep the Cleem name in mind and if I stumble across anything interesting I will let you know.

Glenn
