Who I am...

My name is Cindy Augustson Adams. I have been the Director of the Kittson County Historical Society since 1986. It is a job that I truly enjoy. One of my favorite parts of the job is helping people with their family history research. Over the past 20 plus years, I have researched many names. In the fall of 2008 a Town Clock was erected in Lancaster on the corner of the town park on main street. It has a clock face on all four sides with "Lancaster" above the east and west faces and the date "1904" above the north and south faces. The date is the year the town was incorporated. The Lake Bronson Dam is nearing the end of its life cycle and many meetings have been held to try and resolve the problem. Rather than replace the dam the experts have narrowed down the options to the point that I believe they are going to lower the road that passes over the dam by at least a couple of feet and then rebuild the road and the downside of the dam in such a way it will provide and emergency spillway. Who are these young Lancaster men and what year was the photo taken??

Can you identify any of these young men and why they were photogrphed as a group. Church Confirmation?

Do you recognize anybody?

After my wife's grandmother Blenda (Christofferson) Bylund died I found a small box of photo post cards in the attic.Most were sent to her by family and friends back in the early 1900's and many had comments on the back. This one shows a group of men cutting up tree length logs for firewood. Do you have any ideas where this photo was taken or who the names of the participants are.
