Pardon me if I missed it in the thread (I did browse through and couldn't find anything), but what is meant by 'family information' in the indexes? Can someone explain in more detail what is being offered in the indexes? And I know many may not agree, but I really think it's time to start thinking of offering this information online, not just in person at the Museum. People cannot always come to the Museum. People will maybe even be more willing to donate/support the Museum if they find the information the Museum houses to be more available and relevant to them rather than *only* come physically to the museum to access information.
Hi Trish, I have done the cemetery indexes for Kittson County. They include names (also maiden names), birth date, death date, parents with mother's maiden name when known, husbands or wives, and children if known along with their spouses. Military information is included if known and I also list my sources. Jackie can contact me for the St. Vincent Cemetery information at marcyj@invisimax.com I also have the Works Progress Administration reports on each cemetery which were done in the 1930's.
Since the above photos of Tom Lako cemetery were taken, all brush has been cleaned up, new stone markers have been placed on the 2 graves of Anna Wallenberg and Lewis Leskiw, and wooden crosses with names and dates have been made for the two Kropelnicki burials, and the two Lenyk graves. The pathway leading up to the grave yard and the cemetery itself are mowed several times a year.
This cemetery, the Tom Lako Farm Cemetery, has been cleaned up and several more graces were found.
