I didn't know about that street, so I don't know if it could be named after anyone in this Jerome family. Crookston has a Jerome Addition. I've done some research on the Jeromes for whom that section of town was named, but I haven't been able to prove a connection there, either. But I'll continue to look into it.

To Lon and his daughter Carrie. Okay, Okay, I seemed to have made a mistake (my first one this year) Andre Jerome is Lon's great grandfather. Lon and Sheryl's mother are from the same generation.
With regard to family trees that are programed to keep the names of living members private I have the following suggestion for Carrie. Open a group in the name of your grandfather Lawrence Jerome and then list all of his children. You could also list all of Lawrence's grandchildren. You might consider checking with all those cousins and aunts and uncles before you do so. That was one of the purposes of this web page, to bring family tree more up to date and help connect them all together. Which reminds me Carrie, to thank you for posting all the photos on the Jerome relatives. I liked the way you grouped them in the photographs. Keep up the good work.

I was in a little town called Leroy ND a few days ago and visited the local cemetery where I found the grave of Martin Jerome Jr. He is the sone of Martin Jerome Sr and the father of Andre Jerome, one of the first to homestead in Kittson County. I also found at least a half dozen more Jerome graves and will report on them shortly. I have added Martin Jerome Jr to the records of find a grave.com. He is located in St. Joseph Cemetery, in St. Joseph township, Pembina County, ND. His wife is buried in Belcourt, ND

Thank you so much to whoever started this forum. I am of the line Andre>Alexander>Ed>Rosemary (the Ed Jerome in this group is my uncle =) ). Also, I have tons of pictures from my grandmother (Ella Jerome's) collection that I could add to the forum once I locate them, including a great one of all of Andre's kids.

Attention of Clint Baxter. I hope the following information is of some help.
Your Grandfather #258 Benjamin Joseph Jerome was born 16 Dec. 1916 in San Clara, Manitoba, Canada and died on 21 Nov, 1995. His wife was Virginia Lucier, born 26 May 1921
Benjamin’s father was #84 Amable Jerome born 21 Feb. 1862 in Minnesota and his wife was Ann Lagimonier born 7 Sept 1884 in Olga, Cavilier County, ND.
Amable’s father was # 43 Joseph Jerome born 1 Aug 1832 in St.Boniface, Manitoba, Canada.
His father was #37 Martine (St.Mathe) Jerome.

In the heading of this group you will note the web page for the Jerome family. Click on it and you will be taken to Ed Merck’s web page on the Jerome family. Go to the Name Index and click on Jerome and look for Benjamin born in 1916 and click on the “Narrative” and this will take you to Benjamin’s page which lists details on his family. To move backwards in time click on Benjamin’s name at the top of the page and it will take you to his father's page and family. Each time you click on a name at the top of each page it will take you back to that person’s father. That way you can go right back to the original recorded Jerome.

Note that each person has been give a number so double check the name and the number to make sure you are looking at the correct person as many names are duplicated in the family. Keep in mind that the Jerome family tree is a work in progress and every effort was made to find supporting evidence for the names and dates. However, a number of facts including names and dates have been questioned and further work will be necessary to find source information to clarify the present facts. Contact me on this group page if you have any further questions as I am a member and follow any posts. A number of your Jerome family members will also be reading this post and may be able to offer additional information when you post a question. Enjoy!

I am looking for as much information as I can find on my husbands grandmother. I mean, I do have some and it is so very interesting; her name is Mathilda Jerome, daughter of Martin Jerome and Mary Rose Bruce. I did look at Mr. Mercks web page and she is not there, now I know that Mathilda Jerome is their child as I have her death certificate that names her parents. I also have photos of Jerome family members with names on them and I was able to find them on the website just not our Mathilda. Can anyone shed just a little light. Thanks so much.

Molly, I have very limited information on the family of Martin (b. 1873) and wife Marie Rose Bruce (b. 1870) and will welcome any information you can provide about their family. I will then do additional research on that branch of the Jeromes and can then perhaps be able to assist you with your research. Please reply to my email address found on the website if you would like to follow up on this. Thanks for your participation in this effort.
