When reading the posts on a Family Group page, check the bottom of the page and make sure you read ALL the pages that are posted. Click on NEXT or the next higher number of the page shown, in order to read all of the latest information posted.
ATTENTION - If you wish to get the most out of this web page, may I suggest you open a group in the name of a family member. If you have a grandfather who lived in Kittson County, AND, you would like to learn more about him and his family, click on the GROUP tab at the top of the page. When the Group page opens, look for the "+add" words in the upper right hand corner of the group page. When you click on the "+add" the next page will open. Simply type in the person's name. You have the choice of adding a photo of the person, or you can add it later. Do not worry about any of the other boxes at this time. Simply scroll down to the lower right corner and click on ADD GROUP, and you are done.
Go back to the main page and then click on Group. Click to open your family page. People who are interested in following developments with regard to this person can join the page. Once a person is a member of a particular group they can add information or make comments. This is a very simple process. Do not hestitate to open a group page and we will make an effort to research that name, for FREE. Every member of the Kittson Historian can read all the comments. You can only add a comment to a group if you are a member of the group. Glenn
Notice - Today a person by the name of Stephanie Assa joined our group and then proceeded to contact members in an unacceptable manner. We acted at once and deleted her profile. We have been very lucky to have very little spam or pests like this. Any time you feel someone is acting improper please let us know and we will check it out.
Thanks Glenn for being right there on this :)...good job. georgine cleem whalen
I googled the name and it came up as spam on other geneology websites so thank you for catching this- Sharon Hills Cleveland
I was emailed by this Assa woman ... Thought her email was kinda suggestive ... I asked who she was b/c I never heard of her having lived in L.B. for 32 years ... Thnx Glenn your prompt action!!! ... These kinds of people are even hitting ancestry sites ....
Got the same email and thinking she might have some info I sent her an email from my gmail account. Wish I would have known about this. Thanks for getting on it, but maybe an email to all of us would have helped also. Anyone know what kind of spam and if I need to worry?
Jackie
I received a message on this site from a James Pollard that is listed a a member of this group. It seemed suspicious so I declined his requested. Any body else heard of this individual?
