Kittson profiles and photos from the past and present
Born 26 Mar 1880 and died 13 Sep 1956 in Kittson County, Minnesota.
Eva is believed to be the first white child to be born in Kittson County. The log cabin where she may have been born is now located at the museum in Lake Bronson, MN. Although this may also be the original homestead of her half uncle Erick (Erickson) Norland. Eva lived all of her life in Kittson County, and is buried in Lancaster Riverview cemetery.
Eva's middle name may be Margaret instead of Christine. Effie (Wangen) Johnson (her granddaughter) believes it was Christine.
She had 2 children, Edward and Efford Wangen with her husband Ludwig Wangen. She and Ludwig were married 20 January 1904. Ludwig died at the age of 26 on 6 October 1906.
Eva went on to Marry Frank Langford but did not have any additional children with him.
