I want to apologize to those of you who are upset about the Kittson County Historical Society being affiliated with a certain member on this page.  I was completely unaware that this person was even a member of this site.  This site is for genealogy & historical purposes only and anyone can join.   We, at the Kittson County Historical Society, do not know the backgrounds of every person or even know who many of the members are.  This certain member has now been suspended from this site.  Thank you for those who called today and bringing my attention to this situation.  As I said, this is a site for genealogical & historical purposes only.  We do not want to offend anyone.  Thank you.  Cindy Adams, Kittson County Museum Director

Hi Kittson County, My husband and I live in Virginia and this morning got an /Email from someone at this site asking us to respond.  I Googled the name and got bad news.  Now I see after logging on that person is a member. I think you've been hacked and your good site is being used as a cover and a lure.

Thank you Cindy Adams for addressing and taking proactive action by suspending "this certain member" that many of us received e-mails from, recognized as spam and did not respond.  Thanks again Ms. Adams.

I would suggest that the administrators of this site change the settings so all new memberships must be reviewed and approved, that way members like this can be screened out via questions, if they are suspicious.  I realize that takes time that may not be available to those administering this site.  If you decide at any time to implement this idea, I would be happy to help as an assistant administrator...
