Does anyone know who built the school buildings in St. Vincent and Orleans? St. Vincent's was built in 1903 and Orleans in 1905, and they appear to have been built from the same plans. They look…Continue

Some of my websites...
St. Vincent Memories (my hometown history blog)
Prairie Woman (my blog about our life in the country)
We were some of the luckiest people in the world, growing up where we did...and it was because a large group of people from PEI (and a few other places, too!) came and settled in Kittson County together. We are literally one big extended family, many of our families intermarrying down through the years. Yes, you're right about Pennington, that's about it. I encourage you to visit my website all about not only St. Vincent, but about many other places in Kittson County, as well as Pembina, and a bit about Emerson, etc. at St. Vincent Memories...
No, and I would LOVE to. I have even tracked down the current owner and wrote her a letter asking if I might, but she never replied, sadly...
Thank you for your kind words. It always makes me happy to know people are enjoying it. :)
I got a tour of the house about 5 or 6 years ago. My parents knew the owner, who I believe has passed away since then. I'll ask my parents and find out though.
